RIHANNA IS ‘AMBASSADOR ETRAORDINARY & PLENIPOTENTIAR’ VAN EILAND BARBADOS…COME AGAIN!?
Sinds eergister is Rihanna buitengewoon ambassadeur van Barbados. De regering van het eiland verklaarde dat de dertigjarige zangeres is aangewezen als “buitengewone ambassadeur met volmacht, met speciale aandacht voor het promoten van onderwijs, toerisme en investeringen in het eiland”.
“Robyn ‘Rihanna’ Fenty heeft de titel gekregen, omdat ze een prominente inwoner van Barbados is die aanzienlijk heeft bijgedragen aan het imago van het eiland in de wereld”, staat in een verklaring van de overheid. De zangeres was al cultureel ambassadeur van Barbados. In het officiële statement staat het volgende:
“outstanding Barbadian who has contributed significantly to raising the island’s profile across the world. Rihanna has a deep love for this country and this is reflected in her philanthropy, especially in the areas of health and education, she also shows her patriotism in the way she gives back to this country and continues to treasure the island as her home.” aldus minister Mia Amor Mottley.
